Show support for Israel by donating to one of the below organizations:

Israel Bonds: Israel bonds essentially are a loan that an individual makes to the State of Israel for the term of the bond. Israel repays the loan to the purchaser when it matures, along with interest. Some bonds pay the interest along with the principal; others (generally the larger amounts) pay the interest every six months. Interest rates change every half month, but the interest rate of your bond when it is issued remains in effect for the life of the bond.

Friends of the Israel Defense Forces:  The Friends of the IDF is the sole organization authorized to collect charitable donations on behalf of the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces across the United States of America. The FIDF has launched an Emergency campaign and donations collected will directly support the needs of IDF Soldiers.

Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ – Israel Emergency Fund: This fund will assist the Federation to assist with immediate needs in Israel communities that the Federation supports.

American Friends of Magen David Adom: In the United States, disaster relief, ambulance, and blood services are handled by an array of organizations. In Israel, there’s one organization that does it all — Magen David Adom. Although MDA’s role is mandated by the Israeli government, it’s not a government agency. As Israel’s official representative to the International Red Cross, Magen David Adom’s role precludes it from accepting governmental support for its general operations. Because of this arrangement, MDA relies on support from donors, including those from the United States, to keep its dispatch systems, training, and equipment the best in the world.

Consider showing your support for Israel by shopping at one of the following places:

Yad Lakashish: When Yad LaKashish was founded in 1962, Jerusalem was divided and besieged with social and economic challenges.  Myriam Mendilow, a school teacher, was distraught by the elderly’s loss of self-respect as well as by her students’ disrespectful attitude toward them. She decided to take action.
She opened a small bookbinding workshop where eight local elderly men were trained in the craft. Local schools brought tattered books from their libraries to the workshop, and for a small fee, the elderly rebound the books. The children started to bond with the elderly, and soon the group of beggars rediscovered that even in their old age, they had something to contribute to society. Almost 60 years later, Yad LaKashish has expanded to 10 workshops and nearly 300 elderly.
