Food Drive

This year’s annual High Holy Day Food Drive is
Phoebe Goldman’s Bat Mitzvah Project.

The annual Food Drive is a cherished aspect of our community’s observance of the Days of Awe.
Our Congregation’s donations make an immeasurable impact by helping families in need.
Your generosity has always been overwhelming and we thank you for your yearly support.

This year we plan to share your donations among two food pantries:

  1. Temple Har Shalom’s “It’s a Mitzvah” Food Pantry:  Our own formal food pantry dedicated in November 2021 as a result of the Bar Mitzvah project of our student Blake Evans. The pantry is located in the lower-level lobby and serves the immediate needs of local families and multiple organizations that have come to depend on our donations.
  2. The Community FoodBank of New Jersey: CFBNJ’s mission is to fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long-term solutions. They engage, educate and empower all sectors of society in the battle. Working together with their volunteers, donors and many partners, they work to fill the emptiness caused by hunger with Food, Help and Hope.
